This tea box is made entirely of Walnut. The framed panel is made from a single piece of colorful grained wood which almost appear book-matched. The grain of this box wraps almost entirely around all four sides. Part of a set of 7 tea boxes made in December 2022. All of the boxes feature a solid hardwood base and a “framed-panel” top. The boxes are made using a hidden-splined-miter at each corner and they have a base panel dadoed into a bottom groove. The boxes are divided into four matching compartments inside. Each quadrant can hold up to about 10 standard tea-pouches. The tops have a small rabbet cut into them so that they rest inside the interior of the base. The boxes are all finished with polyurethane on the interior and OSMO (wax/oil finish) on the exterior; a light buffing of a mix of carnauba wax and beeswax completes the process. All of the boxes measure roughly: 18 cm (Length) x 15cm (Width) x 10cm (Height). Each box is unique and they all vary slightly in some dimensions. The price includes shipping/handling.
